Flash Fiction Charity Event
A week or so back Tyler was invited to take part in a new initiative that's recently sprung up in Cheltenham, and we wanted to spread the word about it: it's a brilliant event series and all for a good cause, so listen up! Local author Alex Clark had the idea of creating an inclusive event that would 'welcome all writers: published writers and unpublished, seasoned readers and debutants.' It's held at Smokey Joe's retro-bar and it's called - wonderfully - the Flashers' Club, due to its focus on flash fiction. Tyler featured as the guest reader, and across the line-up there was some very impressive work on display. Entry is only £3, and all profit goes towards the charity First Story, which places professional writers in schools serving low-income communities. The event is being held on a quarterly basis, and the next one will be in May: so keep tabs on the Flashers' Club blog, and come along to support the charity and enjoy the readings!
